Trude is our gorgeous girl from the 2002 litter of Indy and Bello. Trude lives in Houston Texas with her family, the Pikes.
Trude....favorite saying "a bone stolen is twice as good as a bone given". She lives to sneak and theive things from her unsuspecting family. Her favorite food is blue berry bagels, not to be mistaken for plane bagels or mixed bagels! One of her favorite things to do is to attempt to herd any 4 legger that comes into her yard, after all "It's all about me!" says she. She is very watchful of her pack and will rest in a strategic apex location that gives her either a good view or quick access to any family member that may require her (whether they know they REALLY require her or not!) She prefers cool tile to warm soft carpet. Meal time has never been a very exciting part of her day, unless you leave the room and return to find her portion of beef has suddenly disappeared off of the counter top. Delicious! Trude is an excellent bathroom assistance dog, if there were only a market for such a dog. She! insists on accompanying anyone that needs to visit the rest room. When she feels she needs some affection, put down all beverages because she will choose the hand that shall pet her and butt it firmly in the air sending any liquids all over the affection giver and giv-ee. Though she is an excellent catch when it comes to playing frisbee, we usually quit after 4-5 tosses because Trude is trying to train us to come to her for the frisbee. She will bring the frisbee inches from your hand and as you reach for it she'll jerk it away and step back. She must think we are the ones that enjoy going after the frisbee rather than her being the one getting enjoyment from chasing and catching the frisbee. Sometimes she's too smart. When it comes to our 11 month old, she patiently lets him hug on her and pick her nose and will quietly get up and move if she needs a break from him. She is CONSTANTLY sneaking kisses on Garrett though I ! try to stop her...she is still a pooh eater. Yuck. Her yard is her yard and anyone/anything that moves is told and shown the property line. She is most definitely all bark and no bite as a boston terrier was in our yard the other day and she stood back and barked at him until he turned around quaking in fear and squeezed back thru the fence slats. But all june bugs and mosquito hawks beware! All in all she is an extremely sweet and VERY enthusiastic dog with a mischievious nature that won't quit. She is an extremely quick study when teaching her commands, both verbal and hand signals. But when the day is done, sun is down, all pack members in their beds you'll feel a soft thump on your bed and a big old shiloh groan as Trude circles and plops down with her back pressed up against you.
